Directors are elected by membership for 3 year terms on a rotating basis. Each year following the annual meeting the 5 active directors elect/re-elect/appoint officer positions. The President and Vice President must also be elected directors. The Secretary, Treasurer, and other officers as determined by the board may be either elected directors or members appointed as 1 year non-voting officers. All terms expire at the annual meeting of the year indicated.

Dr. Claudia P. Shakespeare

Claudia has been a proud Settlers Park homeowner since 2003. A retired military veteran with over 32 years of service, she brings discipline, dedication, and a strong sense of duty to her role on the board. Claudia is the mother of one adult daughter and the proud grandmother of one grandson. She has served as a director since 2018, offering a diverse perspective grounded in financial responsibility and governance. Claudia is known for asking thoughtful questions and providing valuable insights that support sound, informed decision-making. Her ability to collaborate effectively with fellow board members and city management stems from a wide-ranging background and extensive experience. Academically accomplished, Claudia holds a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership with an emphasis in Behavioral Health from Grand Canyon University, along with an Associate, a Bachelor’s, and two Master’s degrees from other institutions. She remains committed to working hard with her colleagues for the greater good of the Settlers Park/Grove community and its residents.
Timothy Potter

Timothy Potter has proudly called Sugar Land home throughout his entire adult life. A 1987 graduate of Clements High School, Timothy has lived in Settlers Park since 2015. He is married with two children who currently attend First Colony Middle School. As part of a multiracial family—his wife is originally from the Philippines—Timothy values the diversity and strength of the community.
After serving 20 years in the U.S. military, Timothy moved to Settlers Park following a brief retirement. He currently works for the federal government and previously served with the Sugar Land Police Department. His deep-rooted connection to the area drives his commitment to making Settlers Park the best place to live—not just for his own family, but for all who call the neighborhood home or hope to do so in the future.


Mike Reichek
Director/Treasurer

Mike and his wife Jackie have been proud residents of Settlers Park/Settlers Grove since 1983. Together, they’ve raised their family in the community, and their adult daughter now resides in Sienna Plantation. Originally from Southwest Houston, Mike earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a focus in Economics from the University of Houston. He went on to earn his Certified Financial Planner designation and is a Registered Investment Advisor.
Since 1991, Mike and Jackie have successfully owned and operated an insurance and employee benefits brokerage. Mike has extensive experience in financial oversight and community involvement. He previously served as Treasurer of the Settlers Park Homeowners Association and currently holds the Treasurer role for an HOA in Corpus Christi.
In addition to his professional and local service, Mike is a long-standing member of the Exchange Club of Fort Bend. He now serves as a Regional Vice President of the National Exchange Club and contributes his financial expertise as a member of its Budget & Finance Committee. His commitment to both his profession and community continues to make a lasting impact.
Nancy Dunham

Nancy and her husband, Jim, have called Settlers Grove home since 1993. They raised two adult children, Davis and Grace, and currently share their home with two dogs, Bobby and Norm. Nancy brings decades of professional and volunteer experience to her role in the community. She retired from Chevron Technology Ventures in 2015 after a 25-year career supporting communications in the oil and gas industry. During her time there, she coordinated high-profile media events for alternative energy projects across the country. Prior to Chevron, Nancy served as the long-time community outreach coordinator for Unocal in Fort Bend County, where she organized hundreds of volunteers each year in support of local nonprofits such as the Fort Bend County Women’s Center and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Nancy has also devoted over 20 years to volunteer leadership roles within Fort Bend ISD and has been an administrator for the FBISD Concerns Facebook group since 2010—a space with nearly 19,000 members focused on education advocacy and transparency.With a deep-rooted commitment to service and community engagement, Nancy is dedicated to building a cohesive and productive board that truly serves the residents of Settlers Park and Settlers Grove.
